How is the DUCARTIST scale of Philipps structured?

Phillips AG in Frankfurt introduced the DUCARTIST reproduction system to the market in 1923. The DUCARTIST is the DUCA based on an 88 standard scale. Unlike Welte, Philipps did not change the coding of the system, but simply produced the DUCA die-cuts on a paper of standard 88 width, so that there is a blank space on the right and left. So the DUCARTIST has the same scale as the DUCA. The DUCARTIST has a double scale, i.e. the DUCARTIST rolls can be played - and 88 standard rolls.

To switch between the role types, the note sliding block must be rotated.

The Philipps DUCARTIST scale has the following assignment (from left to right):

Hole 1: Accent Bass

Hole 2: Mezzoforte bass from

Hole 3: Mezzoforte Bass on

Hole 4: Decrescendo Bass slow

Hole 5: crescendo bass slow

Hole 6: Decrescendo Bass fast
