Over the decades, we have acquired what is probably a unique collection of rare original catalogs, brochures and documents relating to pianos, pianolas and the history of the golden era. A valuable source of original and detailed statements by manufacturers, owners and musicians from those days. Below you will find a few examples of such catalogs and books with original sketches and descriptions of the instruments and, in some cases, the prices and delivery details of the time. Using these sources, we can also find out important facts in the course of our fee-based research - for example, which original chandeliers were once fitted to which piano model.
We offer duplicates of these documents for sale, we have high-quality copies made to order and offer these with due regard to the authorship.
We provide information on some documents on our website in the "Resources" section.
We cooperate with collectors, museums, universities and archives and in some cases can also access their collections under the respective conditions by arrangement.
Of course, we are always on the lookout for more original documents and would be delighted if you could offer us something - whether as a donation, to purchase an original or a good copy - or, in the case of inalienable documents, just to look through.
