This book Liszt Piano Sonata Monograph was created by Gerard Carter and Martin Adler, triggered by the discovery of two special Hupfeld scrolls with recordings by the Liszt student Arthur Friedheim. Liszt himself is said to have emphasized the performance of his B minor Sonata by his pupil Arthur Friedheim as the best. The book goes into detail about these recordings and the piece and allows a better understanding of this Liszt title.
