In the 1960s and 1980s, many brands of small upright pianos were designed in a walnut or oak finish that was considered modern at the time, beveled and without brackets, which is hardly considered visually attractive today. However, as some of these pianos were very beautiful, the conversion to a modern body is worthwhile.
