Although many upright pianos and some grand pianos by Steingraeber & Soehne from Bayreuth can still be found today, this concert grand piano Mod 1 from 1901 is an extreme rarity. According to Steingraeber & Söhne, the design was created by Burkhard Steingraeber, the son of the company founder. The grand piano was delivered to the Königliche Kreisoberrealschule in Bayreuth on April 8, 1910. The grand piano is largely original - there are still numerous scribbles by the pupils in the shellac on the curved side. The grand piano will probably only be able to develop its impressive sound potential after renovation. The upper lid is present, but not shown in the photo.
