Feurich as main supplier for Player Pianos

Julius Feurich in Leipzig not only built first-class pianos, but was also the main supplier of built-in pianos and orchestrions to various manufacturers such as Welte, Popper, Hupfeld, Philipps, Gebr. Weber Waldkirch, Kastner London, Stems, Heilbrunn, Kuhl & Klatt, etc. from the very beginning.

Certificate for a Feurich piano

With the serial number of the built-in Feurich piano, we can usually find out information about the year of manufacture, the equipment, the sales price and the delivery date to the piano manufacturer. This enables us to compile a certificate for your Feurich instrument on request - regardless of whether it is a built-in instrument or an upright or grand piano. This can be used as a nice detail for your instrument - or, if necessary, as proof of manufacture when applying for a certificate for pianos with ivory key tops.

We can also offer the same for Hupfeld pianos, for example. As far as we know, Hupfeld's sales and production books have been lost, but after years of collecting data we have compiled an overview which allows us to date Hupfeld instruments such as the electric piano, phonola, phonoliszt, clavitist, DEA, tri-phonola, etc. relatively accurately. We can also issue certificates for these instruments, which may be helpful in the absence of other proof of manufacture.

If you are interested, you'll find details here on how to get a Feurich certificate. We will then check whether we can find anything about the instrument in our sources, and if so, we will be happy to issue a certificate. We charge a fee for the time-consuming research work and issuing the certificate.
