Ampico B is the last and best development stage of reproducing instruments before WWII. Numerous pianists have recorded only for this system - above all, Sergei Rachmaninov. These instruments are extremely rare to find overall, and in Europe in particular. We have sound samples of this grand piano on our YouTube channel. This Haines Brothers Ampico B Symphonique Artcase grand piano with matching grand bench was restored in the late 1990s by the leading pianola expert in the USA. In 2015-2017 we carried out overhaul work on the grand piano. In 2021, the acoustics and mechanics were restored again, as drying damage had been caused by the previous owners due to a lack of necessary humidity. The Ampico music roll repertoire offers a huge selection of classical and American dance music.
