The Aeolian Company in the USA succeeded in gaining such renowned companies as Steinway & Sons exclusively (for the USA) for their DuoArt reproduction systems. Between 1911 and 1931, Steinway & Sons supplied the Aeolian Company with 600 instruments a year (source: Fascination PlayerPiano by Jürgen Hocker, 2009). This grand piano was manufactured in 1925 as the DuoArt Player Piano model XR-6. It has seen a lot over the decades and required a complete restoration, which is currently underway. The acoustic Steinway grand piano has already been fully restored and is beautiful again.
