This Hupfeld Tri-Phonola Rönisch reproducing piano is in good overall condition. It appears that repair work was carried out several decades ago; however, a comprehensive restoration is required, particularly of the Tri-Phonola reproducing mechanism. At some point in its history, the piano was fitted with high-quality plastic key coverings for the white keys. No ivory certificate is required for this instrument. These compact Tri-Phonola upright pianos represent the pinnacle of German reproducing piano development. They offer a remarkable variety of operating modes while also serving as excellent hand-played pianos of outstanding musical quality. The instrument is capable of playing both standard 88-note piano rolls and the original Tri-Phonola reproducing rolls. The original blower box is also preserved.
