SOLD: A dream come true for Blüthner and Welte lovers: A Blüthner-Welte piano! Next to Steinway-Welte, Blüthner-Welte is probably the most valuable combination, but is rarer to find, as significantly more Steinway-Welte pianos were built at that time. We are currently only aware of this one Blüthner-Welte upright alongside a handful of Blüthner-Welte grand pianos. In fact, it is the first Blüthner-Welte piano with the number BL 1 and is in exceptionally good condition. The Welte-Mignon mechanism has already been partially restored. The design of the Welte mechanism is unusual, as the windchest was installed at the bottom to give the upper part of the body a slimmer (more normal) appearance. An absolute rarity and a dream in terms of sound.
