This Welte-Mignon Kabinett is made of blackened oak. Although it has survived the century in its original condition, it was obviously not always well housed, so that a complete restoration is technically necessary. Interestingly, woodworm has also been active on the back wall of this instrument. This has now been professionally and permanently removed. The original unpacking and set-up instructions are still stuck to the back. The Feurich piano, which is usually used in the Welte-Mignon piano, is also installed here. The Feurich "Mignon Raste ohne Stimmklaviatur" was sent to M. Welte & Söhne in Freiburg on February 25, 1909 at a price of 320 marks. Today, the acoustic piano is also in great need of restoration.
