This first design of the Welte-Mignon in the form of a so-called cabinet was a quantum leap in the faithful reproduction of a pianist's playing with its reproduction technology compared to the simple Pianola Vorsetzern known until then. The Feurich "Mignon Raste mit Stimmklaviatur" was sent to M. Welte & Söhne in Freiburg on November 26, 1908 at a price of 345 marks. This cabinet was extensively renovated around 2012 and plays beautifully again today. Here you will find a Video of this instrument. Most recently, it was on loan to a museum for two years.
