This magnificent Bechstein model V grand piano is beautifully finished in burl wood. According to family information, it was purchased by the son of Fanny Mendelssohn Bartholdy (older sister of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy), Sebastian Hensel, and first delivered to Königsberg in July 1880. The Bechstein grand piano is in very good overall condition, it was partially technically renovated decades ago and still plays. A restoration would be necessary to bring out the full potential of this instrument.
