For more than 40 years, I have traveled the world—both in person and online—in pursuit of exceptional pianos, always searching for rare and unique instruments from the Golden Age of piano making. Even more fascinating than the instruments themselves are the people and their stories, in which the piano has often played a significant role. This book brings together 12 such stories—each inspired by true events yet fictional in form—along with 88 practical answers to intriguing questions about the piano and two helpful checklists. Together, they fill more than 400 pages. The book is available in German and in English.

Orders are now being accepted. Shipping will begin in calendar week 2. We accept both individual and bulk orders from private customers and businesses worldwide, often including special requests such as personalized dedications. Since shipping costs and conditions vary depending on order size and destination, we do not use a fully automated, Amazon-style checkout. To make ordering easy and personal, we offer two simple ways to order the hardcover edition. Please choose the option that works best for you below. E-books are available for purchase via the links further down this page.
For orders within Germany only: To order 1–5 copies of the German-language edition with shipping included (approx. 3–5 business days), please use the PayPal button below.
For all other orders, please send us a message with the desired quantity, whether you would like the German and/or English edition, and your billing and shipping address.
