In seinem 1970 erschienen Buch „Re-Enacting the Artist“ schreibt Larry Givens viele Details zur Notenrollenherstellung bei Ampico – und vor allem auch zur Entwicklung und den technischen Details des Ampico B Systems. Beim Ampico B sind viele der bei anderen Reproduktionssystemen vorhandenen Schwächen oder technische Einschränkungen durch interessante technische Lösungen überwunden worden.
