Graf, Walter, Streicher, Stein – the great names of the piano-building era associated with Beethoven and other great masters are among the jewels of the world's finest collections. Instruments by Conrad Graf are exceptionally rare, and even more rarely do they come onto the market. On behalf of a client, we searched for a long time before finding this beautiful instrument and successfully arranging its acquisition. This five-pedal fortepiano (una corda, bassoon stop, Janissary stop, damper lift, and moderator) has survived with many of its original components intact and underwent a professional partial restoration approximately 30 years ago. In its current condition, it is in good playing order and produces a truly impressive sound.
