Römhildt, alongside market leaders such as Hupfeld and Philipps, developed and produced its own Pianola system and its own music rolls — many of them recorded by renowned pianists. This is an exceptionally well-preserved Virtuola reproducing piano. It remains completely original throughout. As a manually played piano, it can be used again after servicing; however, the self-playing mechanism would require restoration.
