This magnificent Feurich Welte piano has already been partially restored by the previous owner (including all expression pneumatics, the suction system, etc.) and is still playable. Some additional work remains to be completed. Thanks to its tall cabinet design, this concert piano has an impressive and powerful tone. The shellac finish on the front is still very attractive, while the sides would benefit from repolishing. The Feurich piano was shipped to M. Welte & Söhne in Freiburg on February 10, 1913, where it was fitted with a Welte reproducing mechanism. The instrument has survived in remarkably original condition. Once the restoration is fully completed, it will once again play and sound magnificent.
