This is a wonderful book (currently only available in French) about Érard, who was so important to piano manufacturing. Organologist, researcher and performer Alain Roudier has played a significant role in the revival of historically informed performance practice. In addition to his career as a chamber musician and soloist, he has devoted himself to the restoration of numerous keyboard instruments from the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
