Year of production: 1889
Serial number: 30517
Action: Bluthner Erard
Length: 2,70m
Large Blüthner concert grand pianos from this period are very difficult to find. This rosewood grand piano is technically a recognizable transition between the first concert grand pianos from before 1880 and the modern constructions after 1893. The polisher at Blüthner noted 23.12.1889 (/84 is written there, but seems to be /89) as the date of completion. It has the Aliquot patent and a Blüthner Erard abstract action. Despite normal damage due to age and use as well as moderately carried out earlier renovation work (lyre, music stand and presumably also the legs are not original), it is still a recognizably magnificent grand piano. In order to be able to use the grand piano again, it must be fully restored.
