Mechanism: Philipps DUCA
Height: 1,60m
This is a unique piece! Built for the 1910 World's Fair in Brussels. It was exhibited there on the Philipps stand and celebrated by the press. The magnificent case is breathtaking. After the World's Fair, it was sold by Philipps Belgium to a well-known horse breeder, where it remained in private ownership for decades. After 2010 it was sold to a collector in Belgium. In 2019, we refurbished the DUCA mechanism and overhauled the acoustic Lipp piano so that this instrument plays as magnificently as it did at the 1910 World's Fair. Here you can find a Video of this instrument. R. Lipp also provided the recording piano at Philipps Frankfurt at the time.
