This extraordinary acrylic concert grand piano comes from the production of luxury instrument manufacturer Galaxy Pianos, based in Dubai. It was designed for exclusive events, hotel lobbies, bars, and private residences where there is space for a truly exceptional luxury instrument. From the factory, the piano was equipped with the PianoDisc iQ system (manufacturer’s list price in 2009: €119,000; today closer to €200,000). We have since upgraded the system to the current PianoDisc Prodigy II. This enables the piano to play a vast repertoire fully automatically, ranging from classical music to contemporary top hits. Operation is conveniently handled via an iPad. In addition, the piano is fitted with an integrated Bose sound system, allowing playback of music with piano accompaniment—or even music without piano at all. Complementing the striking acrylic design (the piano weighs an impressive 760 kg / approx. 1,675 lbs), an internal illumination system is installed, enabling customizable color light effects synchronized with the music. There is an unopened crack in the right acrylic rim, present since initial delivery, which has no impact on the instrument’s structural integrity or stability. The piano comes with three custom-made flight cases—for the piano itself, the legs, and two benches—allowing safe, professional transport of the instrument and accessories, including air and sea freight. An absolutely breathtaking instrument—and a true visual and acoustic showpiece.
