Diese erste Bauform des Welte-Mignon in Form eines sogenannten Kabinetts war mit der Reproduktionstechnik im Vergleich zu den bis dahin nur bekannten einfachen Pianola Vorsetzern ein Quantensprung in der getreuen Wiedergabe des Spiel eines Pianisten. Die Feurich „Mignon Raste mit Stimmklaviatur“ wurde am 26. November 1908 zu einem Preis von 345Mark an M. Welte & Söhne nach Freiburg geschickt. Dieses Kabinett wurde ca. 2012 umfassend renoviert und spielt heute wieder sehr schön. Hier finden sie ein Video of this instrument. Most recently, it was on loan to a museum for two years.
