Hugo Popper played a major role in the success of the Welte-Mignon. When the business relationship between Welte and Popper ended, Popper launched the Popper Welt Piano 'Stella' in 1908 at an astonishingly simultaneous time. A reproduction instrument with extremely close technical similarities to the Welte piano - but better constructed in many parts. This Popper Stella instrument is extremely rare, as only very few Stella were sold. In 2020 it was technically renovated - now it might be the only renovated Stella piano worldwide. Due to the similarity also of the music rolls, it is possible for us to transfer all Welte-Mignon titles also for this piano.
