This is the famous design of the Welte Mignon Cabinet as it was first presented to the world public at the Leipzig Fair in 1904. Unfortunately, only the cabinet is preserved here. Presumably after WWII, the Welte technology and the piano were completely removed and the case was converted into a cabinet. However, this was done so professionally that little of the original substance was changed - and the additional doors look authentic. We will complete this instrument again when we have the opportunity.
