1924 IBACH WELTE
UNIKATER FLÜGEL RENOVIERUNG

This is an example for the renovation of a unique piece. Unique is this grand piano, built in 1924, which was made according to a design by the famous luxury furniture manufacturer Anton Pössenbacher (1877-1959). According to our information, there were two grand pianos based on this design - one as a normal hand piano, which had its place in the music room of the Berlin Hotel Adlon until its destruction in World War II, and this grand piano, which was built as a Welte reproduction grand.

This grand piano with its 6 beautifully crafted legs and the unique decoration was fantastically preserved when it was purchased. The restoration of the Welte technique was necessary, because material aging had taken the function. In addition, the original Welte blower chest was missing - this too was handcrafted according to the design of the grand piano. The acoustic grand piano was also completely renovated - the surface was cleaned and refreshed. A dream instrument. Today, this unique grand piano stands in a private museum in the Czech Republic.
