This Ibach grand piano was sent to M. Welte & Söhne in Freiburg on September 9, 1920. The acoustic piano was renovated in 1985. The Welte mechanism including the blower chest was renovated in several steps until the end of the 1990s. R. Hagemann owned this piano for over 40 years and published an article on the Welte technique in DMM080 based on numerous measurements on this piano. It is beautifully preserved and a wonderful instrument.
