Amazingly rare are these 88 Phonola Vorsetzer from Hupfeld. Even if 88s are basically rare, because the heyday of the Pianola was already coming to an end, even in Germany there are more Aeolian Vorsetzers than Hupfeld Vorsetzers. Maybe because Aeolian offered the double scale 65/88. This Vorsetzer is in good original condition and partially disassembled for restoration in the photos. Like any 88 Phonola, this presetter is a wonderful instrument after restoration. The dating is vague due to the lack of Hupfeld production dates.
