1915 GROTRIAN-STEINWEG
KLAVIER RESTAURATION

The previous owners of this magnificent concert piano had wanted to have it transported unprofessionally from the first floor - and while trying to abseil it from the first floor via the balcony, the piano fell from about 2m. Fortunately without personal injury. But the piano looked pitiful. In many places the body was very badly damaged, a part of the keyboard was destroyed and the action was also damaged. Thanks to the good quality, the cast iron frame and supporting parts remained intact.

So not only did it have to be renovated, but also restored to a large extent in order to fully restore the piano. On customer request the surface was polished black. All the work was worth it - today this beautiful concert piano is standing with a music-loving family in Munich.
